Jersey Carparks — Privacy Policy

Jersey Carparks is a free iOS app published by The Magic Apps. It surfaces live carpark availability data published by the Government of Jersey, on the iPhone home screen, lock screen, and Apple CarPlay dashboard.

What data the app collects

None. The app collects no personal data of any kind. Specifically:

• No account, login, or registration.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
• No advertising or third-party SDKs.
• No identifiers (IDFA, IDFV) collected, stored, or transmitted.
• No contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or any other device permission requested.

What data the app sends

The app makes one type of network request: an anonymous HTTPS GET to the Government of Jersey public live carpark feed at https://sojpublicdata.blob.core.windows.net/sojpublicdata/carpark-data.json. This is the same publicly-accessible feed that drives the official Government of Jersey live carpark page at gov.je. No personally identifying information is included in or attached to that request, and no other network connections are made.

What data the app stores on your device

The app stores the most recent carpark availability snapshot in a local cache on your device so that the widget can display data when offline. This cache is overwritten by each successful refresh and is not transmitted anywhere. The app also stores your settings (refresh interval, favourited carparks) using the standard iOS user-defaults system, on your device only.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes in a future app release, the updated version will be published at this URL.
