The Magic Apps Interval Timer (“the app”) is provided by The Magic Apps. This policy explains how the app handles your data. In short: the app stores your data on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, in your own private iCloud account so it syncs across your devices. The Magic Apps does not collect, receive, transmit to itself, or sell your personal information, and has no access to your iCloud data.
Your interval configurations and your run history (including any heart-rate data captured during a run) are stored on your device.
If your device is signed into iCloud, the app uses Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your intervals and run history across your own Apple devices, stored in your private iCloud database under your Apple Account. This is Apple infrastructure: the data is accessible only to you on your devices and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The Magic Apps cannot access it, and it is never sent to any server we operate. If you are not signed into iCloud, the app simply stores everything locally and does not sync. You can turn iCloud off for the app, or sign out of iCloud, in the iOS Settings app.
If you run an interval on a paired Apple Watch, the app reads your heart rate during the workout using Apple’s HealthKit so it can be shown live and saved alongside that run in your history (which, like the rest of your history, lives on your device and in your private iCloud account). Heart-rate data is used only for this purpose. It is never transmitted to The Magic Apps, and it is never used for advertising or shared with third parties. Health data is not written back to the Health app.
Interval Timer Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment details. Subscription handling is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
You can remove your data at any time: delete individual intervals or history entries, use “Delete All Data” in Settings, or delete the app. Deletions sync through iCloud to your other devices in the same way. You can also stop syncing by turning off iCloud for the app, or manage iCloud-stored data in the iOS Settings app under your Apple Account.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
By using the app you agree to these terms.
The app is an interval timer for workouts. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any exercise programme, and stop if you feel unwell.
The app is free to use with up to two saved intervals. Interval Timer Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription (£1.99 per year, or the equivalent in your local currency) that unlocks unlimited intervals and saving runs to your history.
If your subscription lapses, the app remains usable on the free tier: your history is preserved (but new runs are not saved), and you keep two active intervals while any others become read-only.
You agree not to misuse the app or attempt to disrupt its operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Magic Apps is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the app.
These terms may be updated; the current version is always posted on this page.
